Ezekiel 33:29-33

A  Then they will know that I am the Lord when I have made the land a desolation and a waste because of all their abominations which they have committed.

B  As for you, son of man, your people who talk together about you, by the walls and at the doors of the houses, say to one another, each to his brother, “Come and hear what the word is that comes forth from the Lord.” And then they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as My people and they hear your words but they will not do them. For with their lips they show much love, but their hearts are seton their own gain.

C  But lo, you are to them like a love song sung by a beautiful voice with a well-played instrument.

B’  For they will hear your words but they will not do them.

A’  And when this comes—and it will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.

A: Then They Will Know.
B: Hearing the Word (both doing and not doing).
C: The Parable: Hearing the Love but not Responding Appropriately.
